Hi John Sadly, I don't have many suggestion to offer you since I do not find any available LDS microfilms of the Kolaczyce Parish records. The next best course of action would be to write a letter to the parish requesting specific information about an ancestor or two. Try not to overwhelm the recipient with a request for anything and everything he's got. If your Polish is as fluent as mine, you might want to consult the online Polish letter writing guide at PolishRoots. It is located under "References", then "Letter Writing", then "Polish Letters". It will help you to compose a letter in Polish step by step. I can't guarantee you'll get a response. Some priests are pretty busy while others simply dislike tackling their correspondence duties. But you'll find others who are extremely helpful. Some folks will disagree with me, but I'd enclose a contribution concealed between the pages. I've never run into any problem in sending small amounts of cash to Poland, Euros or dollars, concealed in a card or letter. Nowadays, my requests seem to be mostly for Holy Mass intentions for departed kinfolk and I've now developed a nice rapport with the pastor of my ancestral parish. (Unfortunately, a Russian cavalry unit burned all of our parish registers and records in January 1945, so my good rapport with the pastor is of absolutely no help in my family history research.) I wish I had better news for you. Say, you might try BBC America for better news.
