Hi, folks, As some of you may know, because this mailing list works solely through email, attachments are not permitted to prevent virus infection. HTML and almost all types of files that can be attached to emails are vulnerable to infection. Which is why RW mailing lists send out messages in plain text format only. Therefore, a suggestion I can make to share image and gedcom files is to post a message to one of the RootsWeb/Ancestry message boards and upload your image(s). Up to five image/gedcom files can be attached to a single message. If there isn't a message board for the surname to which your document pertains to, there is always the Galicia message board available: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.ceeurope.histreg.galicia/mb.ashx Once you have chosen the appropriate board to which to post, click on "Begin New Thread" below the name of the board. To add an attachment to your post, click the "Attach a File" link then click on the "browse" button to locate the file you wish to attach. If you would like to post multiple attachments, click on the "Attach another file" link located below your first attachment. To remove an attachment before posting your message, click on the "remove" link next to it. After you post your message on the board containing the image, copy the URL of the message and then send an email to the list to let us know where we can find it. -Marie
