    3. Thank You :-) I did search the number on the site you listed and I saw the region of Husiatyn listed, but there are many villages in Husiatyn that could have been on the film, if indeed it was listed like another film for Kopyczynce 2328860 and 2328861-- this film shows up as Kopyczynce but has villages Howilow, Chorostkow, Chlopowka, Karaszynce, Peremilow, Uwisla, all in the same general area, but the film is listed for Kopyczynce which was the district and still is as far as I know. These records go back to the 1700's, some easy to read and others very faint. I have also found records for Karaszynce on a film listed for Peremilow which is next door, so you never know where something else might be included on any of these films so it doesn't hurt to look at a film for a village next door. 3. Helen, As you say it does not hurt to look in the villages next to yours. I have had a few surprises doing just that. When a reel is really faint and you are having a hard time seeing what is on it, try placing a buff color piece of paper over the records you are trying to read. The print shows up much better on a colored surface then white. I always have some colored paper with me . Also I have made a copy of what I want, then put black paper behind the copy and copied it again, that tends to bring the ink out a bit more. Good luck, Julie B -----Original Message----- From: galicia-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:galicia-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Helen Ginn Sent: Monday, April 21, 2008 12:15 PM To: galicia@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [GALICIA] Records of wedding banns Thank You :-) I did search the number on the site you listed and I saw the region of Husiatyn listed, but there are many villages in Husiatyn that could have been on the film, if indeed it was listed like another film for Kopyczynce 2328860 and 2328861-- this film shows up as Kopyczynce but has villages Howilow, Chorostkow, Chlopowka, Karaszynce, Peremilow, Uwisla, all in the same general area, but the film is listed for Kopyczynce which was the district and still is as far as I know.
