Hello List- I'm new to the list so I hope I'm posting in a way that is common for the list. I'm trying to help my Aunt research her family in the Galicia area of Poland. So far, I haven't been able to find anything that puts them in Poland other than the ship manifests when her grandparents came to America. The husband sailed first in 1901 and his wife and children followed later in 1902. Their name after they came to the US and since is Andrew & Eleanor (nee:KARDAS) GRAZDIEL. Below are their names from the ship's manifests and their dates of birth 1901 Andrezej Granzdziel from Kolaczice Galicy born 11/30/1863 or 11/29/1864 1902 Leonora Grazdziel from Kolazyic born 9/16/1870 Austria with daughter Emilia born 4/26/1897 Austria with son Wladislaw born 1900 Austria with daughter Marya born 11/25/1901 Austria They have a very uncommon name here in the US and I have all of their information from the US, so I'm hoping that someone familiar with Galicia can help tell me how to research the family there.
