Zablotce (Austrian/Polish place name for Zabolottsi). The Wysocko (Vysots'ko) which is near Brody is also near Zablotce. _____ Lavrentiy Krupniak MJDallas wrote: > > Raven Fan wrote: > > > Stefan Szelest Line 12 > > Bobbi, > > Were you able to make out the second part of the place name on the > passenger above Stefan? Hi Larry It might indeed be the ZABLOTCE near Brody and Wysocko. Unless, of course, it is other ZABLOTCE near the other Wysocko - near Jaroslaw where both Zablotce and Wysocko were in Radymno township/gmina and no more than six miles apart. Or perhaps it is even the ZABLOTCE near Przemysl, but that one is a bit further away so I am not very confident in it as a candidate. I think we can probably safely rule out the ZABLOTCE near Sanok. It is even further removed from any of the "Wysockos". Hello Dennis, You are correct, i.e. we need to huddle and examine it a bit more: There are four places with name Wysocko: 1. Wysocko near Brody, Ukraine. 2. Wysocko near Jaroslaw, Poland. 3. Wysocko Wyzne near Borynia, Ukraine. 4. Wysocko Nizne near Borynia, Ukraine. There are four places with name Zablotce: 1. one near Radymno 2. one near Przemysl 3. one near Brody 4. one near Sanok. Stefan Szclest left his father located in "Wysocko, Zablotce". Which of the four Zablotces are located nearest to a Wysocko? We can eliminate Wysockos 3 and 4. So it's Wysocko 1 or 2. Since 1 or 2 are in Galicia, in Poland, but only 1 is in "Ukraine", but a nationalist Ukrainian would say that 2 is also in Ukraine (recall the post WWI Western Ukrainian National republic and the Polish-Ukrainian wars which resulted in Poland gaining control of that republic). Bobbi needs to get the Wysocko records for 1 and 2. _______ Lavrentiy Dennis Benarz wrote: > > Hi Larry > > It might indeed be the ZABLOTCE near Brody and Wysocko.
