Tom -- 41 gypsies of the Kwiek family were murdered in July 1942 by Nazis in my ancestral village of Bielcza. They were buried in a mass grave. There is a plaque in the Bielcza Catholic church commemorating them and all the Catholic war dead of that village -- a great-uncle of mine among them. May they rest in peace. Wikipedia has a basic introductory article titled "Nazi crimes against ethnic Poles" at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_crimes_against_ethnic_Poles There are some references and external links. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: <tjdraus@centurytel.net> Date: Sun, Dec 13, 2009 at 5:00 PM Subject: [GALICIA] nazi atrocities To: galicia@rootsweb.com During WWII about 20 people from my grandfather's village, Kamienica, were executed by the Nazi's.
