Dublin Post, 28 Jan 1880: A Dastardly Crime, On last Tuesday night while Mr. Richard Odom was in Dublin attending court in the capacity of a grand juror, some cowardly villian taking advantage of his absence, went to his home, in the extreme eastern portion of the county and burned a house, a stack of fodder, and some fence. The house stood some distance in the field from the dwelling and contained a quantity of oats and all the plow gear. The party who committed this crime is a very eligible candidate for the chain gang, and it is hoped he may be detected and brought to justice.
