Pittman, married a lady named AVA BARLOW in 1836-37 in Sumter County, Ga. John was born in Laurens and lived there until around 1833 when his family moved to Sumter. I have always suspected that Ava was from Laurens and was kin to James Barlow...a big planter there. Interestingly, on the adjacent farm to them in Sumter County was a big landowner named Solomon Barlow Council. His mother was a Barlow. Anyway, if you come up with anything on this AVA Barlow I would greatly appreciate the info. Charles Pittman
