I think he might possibly be the son of William F. Jones. William B. is buried in Laurens County. I do not have any information on Williams wife other than that he had a son Ashley B. also buried in Dublin. Any information would be helpful.

    3. Judy: I have a Wm. Franklin Jones, b. ca1835 next door to Laurens in Wilkinson but I believe there was a Wm. F. of Laurnes as well. Wm. Franklin of Wilkinson and his lst wife, Elizabeth Mildred Slade, had 7 known children between 1858-1876. There may have been more, of course, and we do not have any Williams currently showing. Also possible that he had a 2nd wife. Wm. Franklin was thought to have been killed in Civil War at Camp Chase, OH but I have his dismissal and oath of allegiance pardon papers.
