Stewart. He seems to have dropped out of the sky in to Appling County GA. He shows in the 1880 cenus in Appling County with a birthyear of abt 1854. Looking for any connections. Do you have a missing John close to that date? The name Archibald has floated in the family for some time..Uncle Arch.. The cenus shows his birth state as NC but they also had him listed as John D. My ggm Adaline Leggett tombstones shows Wife of John R. Stewart. I feel sure his name was John R. and I think the family moved to Ga from NC after he was born.
