Harry, Sorry I've been so long to reply. Thank you for all the info on Colby Smith. Where is the memorial? I wasn't aware that there is one. And, yes, I am in central GA. I got into looking at the Colby Smith family some time ago for my own research, instead of my husband's family. I have a paternal and a maternal SMITH family. The paternal line is from William Daniel SMITH (1801-1860) who lived in Emmanuel and Johnson counties. I haven't been able to find out who his parents were or where he came from, although I know he was born in GA. (If anyone is researching that family, I'd like to exchange data.) Thanks, too, for checking your WOOD data for me. We don't have much on that branch of the family and I'd like to be able to learn more about them. Darleen
