Harry, Thank you for the information. I've just started researching my husband's family. He had done some research a few years ago and I'm trying to pick up where he left off. I have the George W. SMITH family book. He is a son of Colby SMITH. I saw in the book that George had a son named Henry and the name appears in other generations. I was hoping that perhaps George also had a brother named Henry, but I guess the name comes from Rebecca's surname. My husband also has a Wood family line. The earliest ancestor he has record of is David WOOD, b. 10-15-1828; d. 2-22-1879 in Laurens Co., GA. He married Margaret GLOVER 10-7-1827 in Laurens Co. He had a son, William A. WOOD, whose daughter, Virginia, was my husband's grandmother. Does this family appear to be related to yours? Darleen Miller
