Scott has said it is OK for me to post the following information. This next weekend, Jan. 14 and 15, 2005, there will be a gathering of CLARK researchers with families from this area of GA. Anyone who is researching the Clark or allied families are welcome. On Friday night we will have dinner together at Anne's Cottage in Dublin at 6:30 PM and Alan Thomas, Clerk of Court, is joining us. He will talk about the migration into Laurens County and answer questions. The meal is $9.50 plus gratuity and you need to let Pat Mercer know by Wed. if you plan to attend. You can reach her via email at gmercer@nlamerica.com or by phone at (478)875-3328. She, also, needs to know if you want pork or chicken. Then on Sat. we are meeting at the Presbyterian Church in Dublin in their education building. We will start at 9:30 AM and "do" genealogy until about 3:30. We may have another speaker that morning. This is very informal. Some of us know each other and some don't so feel free ! to join us. Allied families are many but to name a few -- Currie, McLendon, Gillis, Branch, Brown, Browning, Burch, Daniel, Dixon, Gay, Harrelson, Hudson, Joiner, Lindsey, Livingston, Locke, Lowery, Miller, Towns, Woodard and Woodward. I know I left out some key names so if in doubt contact me. Sandy
