His parents were Hardy Spivey and Elizabeth Smith Spivey. He was a carpenter and spent most of his life in Laurens County, GA. He died in a boating accident in 1961 while fishing with the Drews on Hall's Lake. He was buried at Blue Springs Baptist Cemetery. I would like to know which unmarked grave is his so that I can get him a headstone. His first marriage was to Olivia Robertson of Dooly County, GA , and they had two children: Evelyn and William Douglas Spivey. He was then to Corrine Warren of Laurens County, GA in 1941.
