I was told by my mother and uncle that she was well known locally and was commissioned by flower shows to paint the winning flowers. She was know as the "Lady of the Camellias." She also painted landscapes (one of which hung in the Smithsonian at a special exhibit) and portaits of Jane. She divorced Jame Lemual Keen, Jr, in about 1948, and moved to Charleston, South Carolina. She owned a framing busines there, and eventually married a Mr. Bennett (I don't know his first name). She then moved to High Point, North Carolina and had a framing business there. I met her only once in the summer of 1963. I was 6. She died in the fall of 1963 of a stroke (I was told). I have no idea what her watercolors are worth. I have quite a few of them.
