I am descended from Bartley Wynn through his first wife Rebecca Taylor and their daughter Rebecca who married Tharper Spence. I have corresponded through the years with many of Bartley's descendents and Amanda Wynn has always puzzled me. I don't know if this will help you but you mentioned the name Mize. In looking at my information I remembered that Bartley and Gatsey's son Bartley married a Nancy Mize, maybe there is a connect there?
