On things you don't have or are missing.I believe David and Lucinda Braswell are buried at Buckhorn Chrch, I know Alfred P. Braswell is. There used to be a pile of rocks for a headstone near the old tree. My MA, acually my Grandma, carried me over to his grave several times when I was a boy. My Grandaddy never let me call her Grandma, I had to call her Ma, or as he used to say-My tater patch want hold shucks when he got through whupping it. My Ma was Della Mae Braswell who married Ellis Lamar Smith. Robert Samual Braswell b.2-22-1855 d.12-24-1923 first wife was Margaret Canillia Warren b.1859 d.1896. They were married Jan.27,1876. Her parents were William J. Warren b.March-18-1823 d.May-4-1900.and Margaret Canillia Sandford b. Sept.22-1816 d.Feb.19-1910. They were married March 2-1848. They are both buried at Buckhorn Church. William J. Warren Served in the Macon Light Artillery " Slaten's Co.". I put up his Confederate headstone about 7 year ago Rober Samual Braswell second wife was Nancy Louisa Lee b.5-5-1870 d.8-8-1957. Robert Samual and MargaretCanillia Warren Braswell younguns are: Ida T., Samual Dawson, Myrtie , Freeman, Donie, Mattie Mae,and Della Mae. The children by Robert Samual and Nancy Louisa Lee are Mary Carrien, Kate, Jenny. Robert Samual and Margaret Canillia Warren Braswell are buried side by side at Mt. Carmel Graveyard. Nancy Louisa Lee is buried at his feet. Aunt Donie first baby that died is buried at Robert Samual's head on his left. None have ! markers. I guess only two of us know for sure which ones they are. My Ma showed me many many times growing up. She only lived about a half mile from the graveyard. Uncle Kin married Nancy W. Bryan first. She was born July 23-1851 d. Feb. 10-1876. He then married Emma Holland before 1920. I don't think my computer has the correct time, but it's 3 o'clock in the morning. I have more marriages and deaths and younguns, but I figure you have most of that. I live where the Braswell's grew up at. Uncle Kin's old homeplace is right down the road. And Mary J. Braswell (daughter of Alfred P. Braswell ) married William S. Bryan here in my home. It's the old Bryan Home. Built by my G-G-G-Grandddy about 1830. I've got to get a lot of information to Aunt Matt's granddaughter near Atlanta too. Give me a holler back and we'll exchange information. Braswell Families Bobby

    3. Cindy, I am so pleased to find this Jones information on the list and want to study more, but did want to point out (and you may already know this) that Margret (Mary Ann) Jones who married Young Keen as his 3rd wife in 1834-5 (forgot exact year) had a son Kindred L. born in 1839. I have wondered if this Kindred Jones was related to her, know he is not her brother and had neglected to look up census but he did serve in the Civil War I think. Too the Spiveys had a daughter named Molsey who married a Hester, have to check this. Don't know if there is a connection or coincidence. Kindred L. Keen is my GGrandfather. My gggrandfather was William H. Hughes who was the son of George and Rhoda Garrett Hughes from Laurens, SC. George and Rhoda had a son named Thomas who was born August 8, 1793. He could have been in GA by 1820. Several of the brothers moved to GA including my William. Later, some moved on to AL and others to MS and I think perhaps TX. The fact that the name of a child was Darcus may be significant. Rhoda Garrett Hughes had a sister named Dorcus and Thomas could have named a child after this aunt. Also, they sometimes spelled the name Hughs. If you think this is the same family, please write to me at [email protected] Thanks, Jan

    3. Hi - I am interested in this HOLLAND and ADAMS connections. I have a Thomas P. HOLLAND who married a Sarah Elizabeth RENEAU in 1854. Sarah was the daughter of Rev. Russell RENEAU, a Presiding Elder of the ME Church in GA and AR, and his wife, Elizabeth STOCKTON. The RENEAUS were originally from Jefferson/Sevier County, TN. They ahd one child that I know of -- an Emma Alma HOLLAND born 1854. I do not know anymore about either of these persons but Sarah was my great-grand aunt. I also have an ADAMS family that was tied to my RICHTER family over in Morgan County, GA. Burma ADAMS (1886-1971) married Russell Daniel RICHTER, Sr. (1882-1944) in 1909. They had one child, Russell D. RICHTER, Jr. who died in Dallas, Dallas County, TX in 1980. Burma ADAMS died in Meriwether County, GA, in 1971 according to SSI records. I somehow fee this Thomas may be a part of this family: Bethany Church Cemetery Inscriptions Morgan Co, GA BETHANY CHURCH CEMETERY - located about six miles southeast of Madison Thomas A. Holland, March 29, 1856, Jan. 10, 1929. Mary Holland, October 11, 1856, June 1, 1933. Any information is appreciated. John R. My grandfather, not sure which number he was, had a son or nephew by the name of Wiley Pink Holland. I always wondered where the Pink came from and suspect it was from Grabriel's wife. Gabriel also had a brother that was in an India massacre. I think his name was Richard. If you will sen me your Email address I will send you what I have. I have read page 351, as well as many other pages that demonstrate other families relationships to my Roberts line. My problem is this: I cannot/have not been able to document Fredrick Roberts, or his wife Angeline, prior to Burke County in the late 1700s. They are well documented in Dublin/Laurens County, a lot of which I have now. However, most research has shown that Frederick received a land grant in Burke Co. in the 1780s, and that he came to Burke County by way of S/Carolina, N/Carolina and Virginia. Having read page 351 in "the book" gave me a direction in which to search, however, running down those leads have shown nothing thus far.
