Looking for any information on Henry HERMAN/HERMANN: The "Memoirs of Georgia" profile on his son, Elias Herman, says Henry was born in Germany, came to the U.S. in 1849, settled in Dublin where he was a merchant, served in the war, died in Eastman in 1875. Mrs. Cobb, History of Dodge County, in remarks on his son, Dr. J.D. Herman, says Henry was an early settler of Dodge County and died in Eastman. Is this the same Henry Herman who was an officer in the 1st Georgia Sharpshooter Battalion and was wounded at Calhoun, Georgia, in May 1864? Russell
Thanks everyone for your kind offers to provide the Brewton Cemetery Curl listings. I have already received them from a very kind individual. However, I am most grateful for your response to my request Curl/Stan >
Is this the same cemetery called Old Ballard Cemetery, near Brewton?? I was told that Elizabeth Curlee Keen was buried at this cemetery and several have tried to locate in the last 20 years but a story goes that it was plowed under. Are these the same family, Curl and Curle/Curlee?
