They were usually pretty close to the COLEMAN, HUNTER, SANFORD, GREENE, LUCKEY and other families, at least over in Greene County, GA.     3. Hi Marsha , William Rawls born Apr 22, 1853 died Jan 11, 1918 buried at Boiling Springs Methodist next to P.G. Rawls born May 26, 1878 died July 25, 1905 buried between William and Rebecca Rawls Rebecca Rawls born Sep 4, 1850 died Jan 25. 1895 buried near William Rawls These are the only Rawls listed in the Laurens Co Cemetery Records Book. Boiling Springs Methodist - Travel northeast on US 319 from East Dublin, turn left on Boiling Springs Church Rd. Go about 1/4 mile, church and cemetery are on the left. Could Arthur have been buried in Johnson Co., which is further east? Or he may have been buried in an unmarked grave in Laurens Co. Connie Connie

    3. Looking for lots of info (staying positive!) on my gggg-gfather, Arthur RAWLS. Reportedly born ca 1792 in GA (seems a little unlikely given the date - likely SC if not GA. Unsure of his parents names. Died ca Sep 1847 in Laurens Co GA (will was recorded at Laurens Co Courthouse Sep 1847). Looking for Arthur's burial place and exact date of death. He was married to Permelia (Milly) WALKER, daughter of Elisha WALKER and Mary BOWER ca 1810 - would like exact marriage date for them if anyone has that! Milly WALKER RAWLS died in Laurens Co in 1859 - would like to know her burial place and exact date of death. Would also like birth dates for their 2 sons, Daniel RAWLS and Reddick (sp?) They are believed to have been born btw 1875-1880. They lived in Bartow GA, however after their divorce, Linzie moved to Donovan and Ella moved to Pringle. They had 7 children: 1. Mattie Lee who married a MOSS and moved to Donovan 2. Mary Lou who married a CURTIS and moved to Donovan 3. Susie - lived in Macon 4. Eva - married a GOINGS and moved to Wrightsville 5. Lanie - married a FLOYD and moved to Dublin 6. Jasper (no information on him) 7. Thomas - married LIZZIE and moved to Tennille. Thomas is my grandfather, born July 11, 1911 and died Aug 1966. Prior to him marrying Lizzie, he had 2 sons, John Henry and Thomas Jr. Later, he and Lizzie had my father, Willie James. Willie was born Jan. 15, 1944 and died Apr. 1966. Thomas and his son Willie both died of cancer and was buried in West Haven Cemetary in just outside of Davisboro, GA.     3. I am looking for information on William LANE and Eliza J. CALLAHAND married 16 Dec. 1869 in Montgomery (now Wheeler) County. They may have had a son named Agustus P. LANE born 02 Nov. 1872 and died 11 Jan. 1873 in Montgomery (now Wheeler) County and may have lived in Dublin, Laurens County in 1880 and back in Glenwood, Montgomery (now Wheeler) County in 1900. An Eliza J. Lane was born on 2 Nov. 1872 and died on 01 Oct. 1903. She and Agustus are buried in the Glenwood City Cemetery, Montgomery (now Wheeler) County. This William Lane was probably the William Lane that was born in Screven County on 22 Oct. 1830± and served in Brown's Light Infantry, Company F of the 25th Georgia infantry.
