There are two census records for 1850, a partial census and a complete census. This information is for the Mitchell-Christian family and the Mitchell Fulford family. The information about the Christians is from page 61 of the complete census record. The full name of Henry Christian's wife is Nancy Womack Christian. My great, great grandmother is Lucinda Christian Mitchell. This census information also includes First Sgt. Hardy Christian, C.S.A., who was serving and who was surrendered at Appomattox, and Pvt. William Christian, C.S.A., who was serving and who died in May of 1863 at Guiney, Virginia. Guiney, Virginia, was where Stonewall Jackson died. The information about the Mitchell-Fulfords is from page 93 of the complete census record of 1850 for Jones County, Georgia. Cherry Driver Mitchell Fulford Mitchell is my great, great, great grandmother. Her first husband was George Green Flournoy Mitchell, my great, great, great grandfather. George and Cherry were married in Jones County on February 14, 1826. George Green Flournoy Mitchell died in the 1840s and his will was probated in Marion County, Georgia. His wife, Cherry, was his sole heir. The spelling of Fulford I have most often seen in with one l. Warren Anderson Mitchell, C.S.A., was my great, great grandfather. He was serving, on duty, in the recruiting office, at Camp Watts, near Notasulga, Alabama. Warren contracted pneumonia and died on November 20, 1862. He was brought back to his old home in Clinton, Georgia.
