Hello, I'm trying to find information on some Jordan's that were in Jones Co. Ga. My GGGGrandfather was Lovick Pierce Jordan. He was born in 1807 in S.C., and he was in Jones Co. Ga., as early as 1827, as he won a land lottery there. It also lists he was a teacher at the Poor Schools in 1833. He was first married to a Nancy Heath, and then he married Malinda "Ann" Freeman in 1844 in Jones Co. Ga. Some feel his father was a Jacob Jordan, and there was a Jacob Jordan in Jones Co. Ga., and he also won the land lottery, and he is also listed as a Judge in the Inferior Court in Jones Co. Ga. Also, there was an Elias Jordan and he also won the land in the land lottery! I do feel there is a connection with my Lovick Pierce Jordan, and this Jacob and Elias Jordan, as Lovick named one of his sons, Jacob, and one of his sons, Elias. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much! Becky Carden, rec@hiwaay.net
