Henry Mitchell, Revolutionary Soldier, and Sarah Maderias Mitchell, had nine children, eight boys and one girl. The parents of Henry Mitchell (RS) are Henry Mitchell (father) and Priscilla Jones (mother). The grandparents of Henry Mitchell (RS) are Henry Mitchell (grandfather) and Tabitha Branch (grandmother). Henry Mitchell's parents were from Surrey County, Virginia, which later was re-aligned. Early on, Surrey County was called Surrey Side-Jamestown Settlemen. At one time, Surrey County extended all the way to North Carolina. In about 1752, parts of Surrey County were re-aligned into Sussex County, Virginia.
