Seeking additional information on this William Ward. Does anyone know if this is the same William Ward who is shown in the 1830 Fayette County, GA census with children the correct age to have come from this marriage? William Ward also shows up as early as 1823 on the Fayette County tax list. The William Ward in Fayette County, GA remarried on Oct. 15, 1835 to Clarisa Pearson and they next show up in Randolph County, AL in 1840 with enough children in age brackets to have come from a previous marriage by both of them. William Ward apparently died prior to 1850, because his widow, Clarisa, is shown as the head of the household on the 1850 Randolph County, AL census. wward
