What county did he live in while he was in Georgia? We have a Joseph Coulter in our family, too...b. 1846 in MS, married 1867 in Gonzales Co., TX and died in Llano Co. TX. His wife was Minerva Ragsdale. I think it's quite likely your Joseph is a descendant of the branch of Coulters we left behind when we left GA c. 1813-15. One of Peter's and John M's brothers had been killed. Jesse died in 1795, leaving some small children. They were part of our family and stayed back in GA.
