This was my great grandmother and her name was not Vicie Ann although close! Her name was Anna "Annie" Livicia Nivens, the daughter of James Thomas Nivens and Emma Jane "Amy" Cape (I have the original family heirloom portrait of James and Amy-It is too brittle to take out of its frame but I was told that if you take another camera and take an upclose of it, it at least can be passed on to other family members, in which I am going to try and if it works, I will scan it and then can send it to anyone who would like to have it, it was handed down from my grandfather (the son of Annie Nivens) the photo is large and is in its original wooden oval frame with the curved glass and is one of my favorite photo's of our ancestor's). O.K. For the rest of this, Anna Livicia Nivens b. August 1884 in Dent County, Missouri m. James Lane Beasley, their children are Freddie, Roy Everett, Edward F., James Lane Jr., Jessie and an infant that died at birth or shortly after. Edward F. Beasley was my grandfather he m. Nella Marion Broyles, he was born in Dent County and later he moved his family to Summersville, Texas County, Missouri where I was born. Anna Livicia "Annie" Nivens Beasley became ill in the last few years of her life in which she lived with my grandparents Edward (her son) in Summersville and this is where she died, in Texas County, Missouri rather than Dent County. She had ovarian cancer. I have heard so many stories about her and she was a character I believe, being very outspoken and smoked a pipe, I also have several photo's of Annie, my mother was named after her and her name is Anna Lee Beasley (m.name Hodge). She is the daughter of Edward, the son of Anna Livicia Nivens Beasley. I believe the confussion may occur due to Annies grandparents, Thomas Jefferson Nivens and Jeminima (Jemima) Pamenella Poindexter for some reason SHE is found in some records as Vicie Ann Nivens after the death of Thomas Jefferson Nivens (Vicie or Jeminima then m. Rueben Burris, AND Vicie and Thomas Jefferson's child ended up marrying the son of Rueben Burris and his first wife, her name was Rebecca Nivens). To further add to this, Emma Jane "Amy" Cape Nivens mother was named Vicie Ann "Nancy" Breckenridge who married Joel Whaley Cape. So there is two Vicie Ann's in there that are Annies grandparents but her name was Anna Livicia Nivens. This is even what is listed on her obituary. Hope this helped some. Kathy
