Pearson/Pierson. He may have been related to Pearsons/Piersons, Blounts and Marshalls that were in Jones Co, GA. He was born March 17, 1821 in Georgia, and died November 20, 1890 in Harris County, GA. He married (1) Jane Harvey on January 30, 1849 in Harris County, GA, and (2) Mary Mathews on November 10, 1869 in Harris County, GA. Stephen and his first wife, Jane, had the following children (and their approximate birth years) : Mary E (1850), Susan B. (1851), Jones (1854), Frances (1856), Lucy Miranda (1857), and Henry (1859). Stephen and at least two of his children, Henry and Susie B., are buried in the Clower Cemetery, Ellerslie, Harris County, GA. Stephen J. and his household appear on the 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 censuses for Harris County, GA. Can’t locate any information as to his parents.
