Re: my posting of last week: I went back to find the page number. This time I used Ancestry.com Online Images, even though a search did not reveal Lyddal Bacon in the index. I had found him on a very old microfilm in our local library. I had to view several pages to find the entry again. The Ancestry.com images are extremely more clear, and I realized that I had mistakenly ranscribed the information incorrectly last week , due to scratches, dimness, and spots on the film. The actual information is as follows: 1820 Jones County, GA Census - Page 129: Lyddal BACON: 1 male under 10 yrs. 1 male of 26 yrs. and under 45 yrs 3 females under 10 yrs. 1 female of 26 yrs. and under 45 yrs 1 person engaged in Agriculture 1 male slave under 14 yrs. I'm so sorry and embarrassed that I posted the incorrect info to "the world". On Fri, 24 Jan 2003 18:11:47 -0500 Gary W. This doesn't help in finding his elusive father, but at least its more info. Regards, Gary garluke@juno.com Gary W. & Christie J.
