Hello, I'm looking for information on Jordans and Freemans in Jones Co. Ga. My ancestors were Lovick Pierce Jordan, who was born in 1807 in South Carolina! It is said, he was named for the Methodist minister, Lovick Pierce. I know he was in Jones Co. Ga., as early 1827, as he was listed as a winner in the land lottery! It is believe he was married more than once, but I descend from his second wife, Malinda Ann Freeman. She was born about 1815 in Ga., don't know what county. Lovick Pierce Jordan and Malinda Ann Freeman were married about 1845 in Jones Co. Ga. Some people feel his father may have been a Jacob Jordan, and I did see a Jacob Jordan listed in the land lottery info, and I also saw an Elias Jordan listed. I have that Lovick Pierce had a son Elias, and a son Jacob, so I'm wondering if maybe the father was Jacob, and maybe this Elias may have been his brother. Lovick Pierce Jordan and Malinda Ann Freeman were in Pike Co. Ga in 1850, and then they ended up in Chambers Co. Al. He died about 1864 and she died in 1894. Here are all the children that I have listed for Lovick Pierce Jordan: I have that his first wife was a Nancy Heath, second Malinda Ann Freeman, and there may have been a third, Ann S. Lovejoy, but not absolutely sure about her. Children: Beginning in 1827, and going to 1857: John Wesley Jordan Elvira Elizabeth Jordan Jacob Arnold Jordan, b. abt. 1830 Nancy Awrainier Jordan Amanda Ann Elizabeth Jordan Augustus Mason Jordan William Henry Jordan Elias Purifoy Jordan Sarah Jane Jordan Ellen Palymyra Jordan, GGGrandmother Melinda Emilia Jordan Permelia Ann Jordan Willis Nelson Jordan Russell Bennett Jordan Twin to Willis Frances Leanora Jordan Augusta Caroline Jordan Julius Fletcher Jordan The first child by Malinda Ann Freeman, was Ellen P. Jordan. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much! Becky Carden
