I'm transcribing the Ordinary Court Minutes of Taylor County and have come across a lengthy (and very wordy) account from Jones County Court of Ordinary, Charles Macarthy the Ordinary regarding the estate of deceased James Mitchell (dated Jan 9 1860) Security was $30,000... Two people, William H. Montfort and Andrew J. Colbert, are appointed the Administrators, and I believe they are residents of Taylor County, and that is why this is also recorded over there. Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone is researching a James Mitchell who died around 1860. Virginia
