I'm tracking some land in present day Taylor County LL139 in District 12. The original land grant was drawn, surveyed and paid for by: John Dawkins of Capt Taylor's District of Jones County. This was the 1827 Land Lottery, although Mr. Dawkins didn't actually complete the ransaction until Nov 27, 1845. At that point the land was in Muscogee County. I'm trying to figure out the transition to my Willis Jinks.... Just wondered if anyone might be tracking a John Dawkins from Jones County! Virginia
