Surnames: Simmons, Gilreath Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Xc.2ADI/1162 Message Board Post: I was wondering if anyone has any information about the murder that took place in Chattooga county Georgia ( I believe this is the right county, it could have been Walker County also.) in the late 1890's or early 1900's. The son John Jones killed his father Ayer Jones, but I'm not sure why. Later, to my knowledge, there is an interation between my Gilreath grandfather and the son John Jones who was married to my grandfathers sister Susan Gilreath. If any one has any info on this story whether hearsay or truth I would be very interested in hearing what they have to say. (I have heard many versions and would like to know more about it.
