I know that my ancestor Jonathan D. Maynard is mentioned in the 1850 cencus for Jones Co. as well as some will abstracts from 1833 published in the Georgia Pioneers Genealogical Magazine. How do I go about getting copies from The census and will. I assume that the Courthouse in Gray or the library would have copies. What is my best route? What about fees? Also, in the census(a found it through the GenWeb) it has a dollar amount of $1400, what does this stand for? And in the Will abstracts (also found on GENWeb), I found two wills one has the dates w/s 23oct 1866 and p/ 1jan. 1867 the other has w/s 14apr. 1856 and w/7july 1856 Do you know what these dates mean?
