I'm trying to "group" some families --- these paid taxes on land in 1811 on the Waterway Wolf Creek. If you recognize any names, please share. The * shows that this name was also listed on the 1820 Census--- of course this was 9 years later. In some instances the surname is on the 1820, but not the first name, so I didn't asterisk those. Also some surnames in 1820 had a female, so she might have been a widow. Wolf Creek is south east of Gray ---- I can't seem to find any identifying communities that were in the area. Wolf Creek runs into Commissioners Creek on the East side. Many of these same names drew in the 1827 lottery while living in Jones County.... Captain Allen Thompson's District 1811 Land owned listing Watercourse of Wolf Creek *Note these men sometimes owned other lands, but for this file, I'm only considering those names on Wolf Creek.
