Included in this park is the historic Bell Grove mansion. The purpose of this new park is to commemorate the last major Civil War battle of the Shenandoah Valley Campaign, fought in 1864, between Jubal Early and Phil Sheridan. The new park will include the battlefield itself. Cold Harbor is the right harbor. Hang 'em up early. Previously, last week in Washington County, Maryland, the county approved $300,000 to those responsible for the film, Gods and Generals (to be released in Feburary 2003) on the condition that a certain percentage of their new Civil War film, "To the Last Measure", is filmed in Washington County, Maryland. Look for your records, that's what it does really mean. I am trying to find war records for Warren Anderson Mitchell, C.S.A. Warren was born and married in Jones County, Georgia. Warren Anderson Michell, C.S.A., was serving, on duty in the recruiting office at Camp Watts, near Notasulga, Alabama, when he contracted pneumonia and died on November 20, 1862. Warren was brought back to his old home in Clinton, Georgia. His medical records are in Auburn University, but they are not available to me. I do need to look at dear Warren's records. Do you have any information about these war records? Sincerely, Terri Anne Hastings Average e-mail is o.k.: purchaseorders@yahoo.com
