Surnames: Griffith/Griffin Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Xc.2ADI/1172 Message Board Post: My great grandmother, Hellon Peyton Griffith or Griffin (depending on where you look) was born in 1866. Her younger sister, Letitie (or Louise(?))was born four years later. Some time after that, their father must have died, because I find my greatgrandmother with her mother and step father in the Virginia 1880 census. The census lists Hellon's father as being fom Georgia. On the off chance that she carried her father's name as her middle name, does anyone know of any Peyton-Griffin (or Griffith) connections in Georgia? Thanks
