Yes, Virginia, I went to the dedication and saw a lot of the fine people I know from Jones County. I also met one or two of John Childs Sr. decendants who do not live here. One was Childs Ford who has also responded to your message. I also have a couple of digital pictures of the ceremony and a picture of the stone that was placed and dedicated. The dedication was done by the DAR with participation of the SAR. Boys Scout Troup 21 of Macon also did a great job cleaning up the cemetery and access paths to the cemetery.
