I need someone's help who would be able to go to the Courthouse in Jones County and help me complete the 1816 Tax List. I have the NAMES, but this is not as helpful as adding the information about the waterway, land owned, slaves owned. I can send you the names which would make it easier for your to work with. I could just mail it to you in "chart" form, and you could do it all by hand, and then I could type it. We don't need to include everything that is listed on the charts, but it would be of help to include MORE than just the names. I had thought this Tax List would be on the microfilm that I'm working on, but somehow it missed it. I'm sure the Atlanta Archives probably does have it on microfilm though. If someone would volunteer to help me with this, I would be very appreciative. I'm working on the 1818 and also have the 1811. Thanks.... Virginia
