I have a bible record that my g.g. grandfather, Abraham K. Allison, was born on Falling Creek, Jones County Ga., on DEC 10, 1810. His father was listed as Capt. James Allison. I have recently learned that there is an Allisons Creek that runs into Falling Creek and an Allisons Lake on Allisons Creek. These are in the North west corner of Jones County that is now the Piedmont National Wildlife Refuse area that I found out was taken as a park in 1937 or 1938. If any one has additional information on the history of this area in the 1807 - 1810 time period, I would appreciate it. So far the census and tax info that has been posted does not list the Allisons. My additional searches into other Counties for them has not shown up anything. I'm at a wall at this point.
