Surnames: Reaves/Kornegay/Rogers Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Xc.2ADI/1139.1.2 Message Board Post: I see where you mention the Reaves'. I am from the Asher Reaves line. I do not know a lot about him before he went to Alabama. Do you know anything? I know he married Civil Kornegay in Pulaski Co., Ga in 1820, but do not know why he is there and all his family is elswhere, except there is also a Henry Reaves that married a Roxie C. Kornegay in Pulaski Co., Ga in 1819 too. I have thought this might be Asher's brother. I have seen Stephen Reaves' will on the net posted by Virginia Crilley and I saw the bio of Ussery Moore by Sue Moore. That was much more info than I knew, if you know more I would love to hear from you. I have looked for his family for over 10 years now. Thanks. Tanna

About 20 of us are participating in the DNA project for the family Bond. It turns out I am related to a Seth Bond who may have had a wife Priscilla who lived in Jones County. We are trying to determine the connection between Seth of Geogia and John of Massachusetts (my ancestor). We speculate that Seth may have gone to SC during the Revolution and then on to GA. I would be most grateful to anyone who can point me toward any information regarding Seth Bond b c 1760. Charlie Bond mrbond@ncia.net

FYI ... the Jarrell Plantation website is as follows: http://gastateparks.org/info/jarrell The "Mr. Jarrell" you are most likely aluding to died a few years ago. Philip Haynes, the nephew of said Allene Jarrell, lives next to the plantation and has a B&B that he runs at the site. It's a great place to stay, then walk across the lot and talk with the park rangers about the information you are requesting. The rangers are well informed on the genealogical treasures found associated with this family. My family is also related to the Jarrells, the Barfield's and the Middlebrooks. I have a plethora of information that I am most willing to share. May I be of any assistance? If so, please contact me directly at im52ioblu@hotmail.com. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Xc.2ADI/1200.1 Message Board Post: Do you know about how old Hattie was when she died? If not, what year was your mother born? Having 'some' dates might help. There was a Hattie L. Jones, age 12 on 1920 census Selma City, AL living with her gran mother Elizabeth Stewart 56 Also, do you have any idea what county she lived in in AL or GA?
Carol C-H has just started a new mailing list specifically for our area of Georgia. Since so many families moved around within this general area, I think this is a great idea for sharing information. Pass this along to any surname groups that you are with, so they will also know about this and be able to join in. =============== Please join us on the new WC-GA e-mail list, if you are researching ancestors who lived in west-central Georgia. You can sub either by visiting http://www2.netdoor.com/~cch/lists/WC-GA.htm and clicking on the sub link, or by sending a post to WC-GA-L-Request@rootsweb.com or WC-GA-D-Request@rootsweb.com with the word SUBSCRIBE in the subject line and/or the message part of the post. The counties included in this research area are: Butts Carroll Chattahoochee Clayton Coweta Crawford DeKalb Dooly Douglas Fayette Fulton Haralson Harris Heard Henry Houston Jasper Jones Lamar Marion Macon Meriwether Monroe Muscogee Newton Peach Pike Quitman Rockdale Schley Spalding Stewart Sumter Talbot Taylor Troup Twiggs Upson Webster Carol C-H <cch@netdoor.com> http://www2.netdoor.com/~cch/ Virginia Crilley
