    1. [GAJONES] Sledge -Snellgrove marriage around 1820-1835
    2. wwadsworth
    3. I am looking for the marriage of Margaret Snellgrove to a Sledge (I do not know first name). The marriage should have taken place around 1820-1835. Margaret was the daughter of William Snellgrove who is listed on the 1830 Bibb County census. I can find Margaret Snellgrove Sledge on the 1850 Houston County census listed as a widow with four children and her father William Snellgrove living with her. If anyone can help with this search for which Sledge she married I would appreciate it. Her daughter Nancy Ann Sledge b. 4-25-1838 was my GG Grandmother. Also Margaret Snellgrove Sledge sister Elizabeth Snellgrove was suppose to have married a Turner in Bibb County, if there is anyone connected to this family on this list I would like to hear from you. Respectfully Wally

Children by Mary: 1. Anna, b. 26 July 1788, SC; d. 5 April 1851, Newton Co., GA; m. 17 July 1808, Newberry Co., SC, Jacob HARMON. 2. Polly, m. (--) SHEPPARD/SHEPHERD. 3. Is this the same Thomas TURNER who was named as an "under age" son of James TURNER, whose will was proved in Berkeley Co., SC in 1767? My Thomas would have been about 16 at the time, so the age fits. According to James' will, his son Thomas was to get half of his land on the Saluda River and Buffalo Creek. In 1808, my Thomas TURNER sold a tract of land on the Saluda River and Buffalo Creek. Is this the same tract bequeathed by James TURNER to his son Thomas? The other children named in James TURNER's 1767 will were: Simon, James, John (all of age), Honor and Tempy (both under age). James' widow was Amy. Thomas TURNER was supposedly a Revolutionary War veteran and was listed as such in the 1832 GA Land Lottery and in the special 1840 census schedule of Revolutionary War pensioners. However, I haven't been able to find any record of his service or his pension. Help! I'd love to hear from anyone who might recognize any of these TURNERs.
