    2. The index to the subject book is available from Washington Library. They sent me a copy for $25.00. Since it is a xeroxed copy and consists of about 100 pages, it's probably worth it. I had planned to scan it and put it on line, but I couldn't get everything to work. Charles Middlebrooks

    2. Darleen C. Miller
    3. Donna, The Washington Memorial Library in Macon has a four-volume set of books on the history of Jones Co in their genealogy department. It mostly contains censuses, a few marriage records, and court documents. I don't have the exact name of it or who wrote it, though. I'll be at the library next week, so if you haven't gotten the name of the books by then, I could check on it for you. I don't recall if there are any family bios in them or not. 2. Darleen C. Miller
    3. Hi, Mick. The Washington Memorial Library in Macon has a large and very good genealogy department. I'm sure they would be able to help you with your research. Macon is in Bibb Co., GA, which is right next to Jones Co. Washington Memorial Library Genealogy & Archives 1180 Washington Avenue Macon, GA 31201 Telephone: 912-744-0820 A few months back I corresponded with a KITCHENS researcher on another family line. I don't know if any of her KITCHENS were in Jones Co., but I will look up her name and e-mail address and send that along to you when I find it. Yes, Griswoldville was hit very hard in the Civil War. There's not much there today. Darleen Miller Centerville, GA ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! 2. Mick Kitchens
    3. Hello, My father was born 1913 in Griswoldville,Jones Co,Georgia,USA. I believe the family religon was Episcopalian. I have recently discovered a LDS film [No 1903706] which has Kitchens folks in Griswoldville in the following groups 1809-1825, parents William Kitchens and Mary Story Brooks 1839-1857, parents William Kitchens and Nancy W Kelly Can anyone advise me of e or snail addresses of any Church, Family History Soc or fellow genealogist that can assist my research? >From what little I have learned so far [I live in Western Australia, the home of the black swan] Griswoldville is not that large a place and was hit heavily during the Civil War. I have also found another film [No 1230620] which lists Jones Co deaths as follows Father: Boze Kitchens Mother ? 4 deaths, all in circa 1875 Father: William Kitchens Mother ? 10 deaths, all in circa 1850 Could there have been 2 disasters in the Kitchens clan? Mick Kitchens. If patience with the living is a virtue then patience with the dead is a necessity.
