Hi all The above names are my mysteries. I can get to a certain point and then it becomes twilight zone time. Aaron Clifton dob abt 1812. He married an Indian Woman, I don't know her name, dob or tribe. If anyone can tell me how to find out you would earn my eternal thanks. They had 3 children Sarah Agnes dob 1852, Ida dob 1836 and Bert dob 1853. Aaron married a second time, no name given for 2nd wife, and they had a daughter named Mary dob 1857. I believe they lived mainly in Blount Co. Alabama but I don't know where Aaron or his wife were born and I haven't been able to find any Cliftons in an 1830 census for Blount Co. Sarah married James Alexander Webb in 1878. James Alexander Webb, dob 11-2-1853, in Cherokee Co. Alabama. One record says Cherokee Co. Ga. His parents were said to be from Georgia. He married Sarah Agnes Clifton on 2-7-1878. James was a Methodist Preacher and he and his family moved to Texas and Oklahoma. James died in Kaw City, Oklahoma on 6-10-1922. James is suppose to have had at least one sister named Florence, born in Georgia. The parents of James and Florence, whoever they are, are suppose to have been buried in Alabama. Thomas James Marion Bullard dob 1849. I don't know where. He married Rebecca Bynum, dob 1853, in 1877. Rebecca's parents were Asa Bynum and Elizabeth Bynum, daughter of John Bynum and Betsy Clowdus. Rebecca was born in Mississippi. Any information on Bynum and Clowdus would be appreciated. Thomas and Rebecca had 3 children. They were Parker Dometis dob 10-1-1878, Lula dob 1880 and James Lester. Parker married Laura Omma Webb, daughter of James and Sarah Webb. The Nixsons are said to be from Alabama. One daughter Cary Lou Trilla, dob 1-24-1872, was born in Louisiana near the Texas border while the family was moving from Alabama to Texas. Another daughter Elizabeth, dob 11-1-1874, was born in Quitman Texas. There was an older son John, but I have little information about him before Texas. My last surname is William Thomas Tolbert. The first information I have about him is in Texas. One of his sons Thomas Jefferson, dob 1857, was born in Texas. Another son Andrew Jackson, dob 8-18-1870, married Cary Lou Trilla Nixson and they raised a family near Greenville, Hunt Co., Texas. The only other Tolbert I have is Lee Tolbert. I don't know if he was a son or brother of William. Lee fought in the Civil War. The reason I am including this surname is because I am sure there are ties to Alabama or Georgia. If anyone can help me with these surnames I will be saying thank you for many a year. Jenny Lee Tolbert [email protected]
