I am working on my family history on my mother's side of the family. Her name was Geneath Pauline Arrington. I understand that Jefferson County has one or two Arrington's in it. I am a beginner at this so I am not quite sure what to do next. My great, great grandfather was John Bunyun Arrington who married Mary A. Baggett. His father was Leven Arrington who married Nancy Mariah Turner. I believe that his father was Silas Arrington who was married to Elizabeth. I am not absolutley certain about Silas being Leven's father but I found a will from 1847 that named a son by the name of Leven. In my research it would seem that the Arrington family came to Jefferson Co. around 1800. I am very proud of my family and their history. I very much would like to trace them back as far as possible. John Bunyun died in Tift Co. Ga. His entire line settled around Tift Co. I am still working on my Family Tree in placing the latter generations on it but I have quite a bit of information put together. Can you help in any way or direct me in the right direction. By the way, my father and mother were married in Jefferson Co. completely unaware of the history of the Arrington family and Jefferson Co.
