    3. Who was Penelope Lane's parents? Any connection to Thomas Lane & Rachel Roberts? Thanks, Debra ----- Original Message ----- From: John R. Families I do not know if the PARKERS of Greene and Wayne County, NC, probably formerly of Edgecombe or that area, made it to GA or not but the link I have in my bunch to the name PARKER is Rev. Isaac PARKER. Bethany LANE, sister of my 2nd GGM, Penelope LANE (1773-1846) married Rev. PARKER. I also have one other possible link to the name, PARKER. Rev. James PARKER of the GA Conference who was married to a Martha had a daughter, America Melvenia PARKER (b. 1836) who we think married 1st SGT Louis Lafayette RENEAU (1834-1853). Louis was 1st SGT of Company E, 6th AL and was killed at the Battle of Chancelorsville, VA on 3 May 1863. Louis was of Montgomery, AL area when he joined the 6th AL. I also know that another family member commanded the 6th AL. Col. Isaac Franklin CULVER, CSA of Henry County, AL. His son, Dr. Frank Pugh CULVER, DD married as his second wife, Mary Lee WHITE (1874-1943), the d/o of my Grand Aunt, Anna Thomas RICHTER (1850-1933), and Gen. Ben WHITE of Meridian, MS. Dr. CULVER was later President of Texas Wesleyan University in Ft. Worth. I also saw something very interesting last night on the History Channel. In the late 1800's, a Judge Isaac C. PARKER was the Federal District Judge in Ft. Smith, Crawford County, AR. In the 1850-60's my 2nd GGF, Rev. Russell RENEAU (1807-1865) was the Presiding Elder in Ft. Smith, AR and I have several other family members who lived in Van Buren, AR which is located, nearby. I do not know if Judge PARKERS family connects back to this NC PARKER family or not but that big C. middle initial is all over my DANIEL bunch. Rev. RENEAU's oldest daughter, Mary Jane (1830-1912) married my GGF, Robert W. DANIEL in 1852 and Robert's mother was Penelope LANE. John R.
