I am researching my 4th Great Grandfather, Jesse Farrow, born abt 1753 probably in South Carolina and according to Revolutionary War Pension records he died 21 Mar 1821 in Burke County GA. His wife Frances was born between 1770 & 1775 and possibly died between 1830 & 1840 in Burke County GA. A distant cousin has posted to the internet that Jesse Farrow married Frances Tarver. When I contacted her for the source of the information, she never responded. Their children were: Fanny Farrow b. abt 1794, James H. Farrow/Farrar/Farrer b. abt 1798 d. abt 1853 in Jefferson County, GA, Sheldon Farrow b. abt 1796, and Daniel M. Farrow b abt 1806. I assume all the children were born in Burke County GA. He shows up in the 1790 substitute Burke County Census index, recieved a land grant in Burke County in 24 May 1793, and drew 2 blanks in the 1805 Burke County, land lottery and was in the 1820 Burke County Census. I don't know when or where they married. Does this ring any bells with Farrer/Farrow or Tarver researchers? Lynn Farrer mlFarrer@swbell.net -----Original Message----- From: John R. I have a Channey FARROW who married Sarah WALKER (b. ABT 1780), d/o Samuel WALKER, Sr. (ABT 1750-1812) and Martha Jefferson BELL (1751-1820) of Abbeville County, South Carolina and I would really like to connect this bunch to the TARVERS. Channey and Sarah had children named: Rebecca, Rachel and Martha FARROW born AFT 1800. I can tell you the TARVERS that were in the Burke/Richmond County, GA area were from Northampton County, NC and before that, IOW/Surry County, VA. However, we did have one of them in Greene County, NC, a Thomas TARVER but I think he is out of this overall bunch. Also, be glad the TARVERS did not send you anything, because it would have probably been wrong. <grin > Frances is a TARVER name if that is any consolation. John R.
