    3. The story goes that America Melvenia PARKER who was probably born ABT 1835 married Louis L. RENEAU (1834-1863) and she was the daughter of a Rev. James PARKER and Martha. Rev. PARKER was of the GA Conference, ME Church. This may have occurred in the Montgomery, AL area but I do not know for sure. I do know his older sister, Mary Jane, married Robert W. DANIEL in Jefferson County, GA. The RENEAUS then lived in Oxford, Newton County, GA but I have, as yet, been unable to figure out this Newton-Jefferson County, GA connection. The only Newton-Jefferson County, GA connection that is know is via of Oxford College. Rev. RENEAU was a PE in the GA Conference and lived with all of the big wig Methodists in Oxford and I am sure his kids went to school, there - probably free, too. I also know that some of the CARSWELL kids also went to school in Oxford and this may be the connection since they were all about the same age. These CARSWELLS were loosely connected to my DANIEL folks and there may have been others from this area who also went to school there, too. Regardless, there has to be a Newton-Jefferson connection because they are abut 100 miles or so apart. John R. 3. RE: THOMAS D(ANIEL?) PARKER, b. September 26, 1821; d. December 28, 1893, Jefferson Co., GA.; m. MARTHA SARAH EVANS, January 18, 1844; b. Abt. 1828, Richmond Co., GA.. When you mention the EVANS Family, then you are all over my DANIEL bunch. Samuel Clark EVANS family of Wadley was all over my family. My friend, Smith Callaway BANKS of Statesboro married a grand daughter of SC EVANS. SC EVANS, Sr. (1852-1912) was the son of Marcus Aurelius EVANS and Emeline F. PALMER of Jefferson County, GA. Marcus was the son of Robert H. EVANS and Elizabeth Ann MURPHEY of Hephzibah, Richmond Co, GA. Robert was the son, according to some, of Col. Daniel Jones EVANS and Mary Polly JONES, also of Hephzibah, Richmond Co, GA. I would not be against a PARKER being all over this bunch since they were so close to the DANIELS and if so, then I would be that PARKER pointed right back into Greene, Wayne or Dobbs County, NC, especially since an Isaac PARKER married Bethany LANE, sister of Penelope Lane DANIEL. This whole bunch floated in and out of Brothersville ME Church in Hephzibah, Richmond Co, GA. The CLARK name, no relation to me, is out of NJ -- Charles Edward CLARK III (1782-1852) and he was married to a CARSWELL and a MURPHEY. I do not know who your Martha EVANS parents were but I will bet she is from this EVANS family. There was also a very prominent EVANS family in Greene County, NC -- Richard EVANS, as I remember. I also think the Nathan EVANS family of Marion County, SC may well be connected to this overall bunch, too...... John R.
