These are the marriage dates I have....sounds pretty close to your bunch to me..... william R. Parker 4/16/1790 - Edgecomb County, N. C. to Bathsheba Matthews About1780 - Culpepper County, Virginai. She died about 1835 and before 1840...they were married in Jefferson County March 02, 1809.....daughter of Aquilla and I have that line back to the 1700's. I don't have anything for sure further back on William but am told he was probably the son of Hardy Parker and Susana Dowzer of Emanuel County, then Jefferson Co. William and Bathsheba had the following children; Joseph G., James A. (married Sara Gross - 1831 then Indiana 1850 or before....he died 1856 -Jeff Co,,Aquilla Weslley (my great grandfather) he married Mary M.Evans on May 20, 1846...Aquilla (June 15, 1820-June 20, 1880 in Burke County....Mary was born in Burke Co. also....but they lived at first in Jeff. Co.......Thomas D. Parker...9/26/1821 - 12/28,1893......Martha Parker married Phillip J. Evans..(could have Mary's brother) ...Daisha Elizabeth married Thomas Moseley, Ann Mary Parker married Edmund N. Stevens, Francis L. Parker (?) and Sara Parker married Sterling G. Jordan She died before 1856 and Sterling never remarried. He was a justice of the peace or something like that in Jeffl Col. William R. remarried Sept. 24, 1846 to Nancy Sikes of Jeff. Co. She was older and had been married but I don't know to whom. Yhe marriages I have are the following: William to Bathsheba -1809 James A. to Sarah Gross - 1831 then to Indiana (Diana) about 1851 James A. died about 1856 - one year before his father Wiliam R. Dear Jean, I have some the Evans family in my line. Do you have any info on Emma Frances Evans (Born 1857, Jeff Cty- died 1915, Augusta, GA.), married to James R. Stratford (married-Jeff.
