    3. Is this the John "Jack" Collins b. ca 1773 Barnwell Dist, SC md. Martha BRITT in 1795 in Richmond Co, GA? Jon Newman's query in August, 1999, stated that John and brothers Michael and Moses moved to Tuscaloosa, AL by 1825. If this is the family, the Britt/ BRETT fits right in with the Watts, Gainers, & Daniels. John and Esther Brett lived in Jefferson Co, and their son, Jesse, lived in Washington Co. Members of the family moved to Jackson Co, FL in the 1828-1835 time period. Records of Mrs. Elizabeth Brett Williams Rigell have "John Brett and Tabitha Daniel were married on the evening of November 22, 1827, by the Rev. E. H. Callaway..." There were two John Bretts in Jackson Co, FL. One born 1783, the other in 1805. A Jordan Smith and Sarah Smith served as adms. of John Smith, dec'd in 1836 in Jackson Co, FL. Lundy and Brantley families also mix in with the others. "John R. Clarke" <jclarke@rose.net> wrote: Now comes the critical piece of information from my friend, Lucy GRAY. John COLLINS was not married to a HOUSTON girl but a Martha BRENT and they were the parents of Nancy Ann COLLINS who married Rev. Nicholas MURPHEY.
