Margie, I cannot tie my DANIEL bunch to the O'DANIELS who were tied to the ERWINS of Edgefield County, SC or the Berry DANIEL clan out of Brunswick County, VA. I am still waiting on the DNA test which my cousin, Russ DANIEL, sent in the first of May. It should be back soon but things are running slow in these DNA labs, these days. Three months is not outside the realm of possibility so I may not know until after the first of August. That said, my collateral links seem to suggest that I am a descendant of the LANIER-DANIEL clan of Tyrrell and Pitt County, NC or ROGERS-DANIEL clan of Edgecombe and Martin, but I could be wrong. It really does not matter because these two are the same family -- Thomas DANIEL (1686-1749) who married Elizabeth LANIER was a brother of Simon DANIEL (1678-1763) who married Elizabeth ROGERS.
