Surnames: Phillips,Smith,Sutton,Eldridge,Faulk Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Dd.2ADE/1435 Message Board Post: Isham has in his household in 1830 three males between 0-5 years old,one male between 20-30 and one male between 40-50.The household has three females between 10-15 and one female between 30-40 years old.Isham born in 1785 was 45 in 1830.His wife,Mary Polly Smith Phillips,born 1797 was 33.The 20-30 year old male,I am guessing,is Robert Reliford Phillips,son of Isham and Mary,born 1810 and 20 years old in 1830.Isham and Mary married 9 Dec 1808 in Jackson Co.GA.She was just a little girl when they wed.The dates are quoted in many places on line.No one has said anything about her age.One of the little boys would be my direct ancestor,Arrington H.H.Phillips,born 1825 and 5 years old in 1830.The youngest little boy must have been Thomas Peter Cuming Phillips born 1829 and 1 year old.Isham and Mary are living in Thomas' home in the 1850 Barbour Co. AL Census.I know Arrington had a brother named Henry because he married Henry's widow,Caroline Sutton Phillips.She was his third and! last wife.She was the sister of Arrington's first wife,Martha Sutton Phillips,also my direct ancestor.Burrell Phillips,an other son of Isham and Mary,was born about 1822.An other boy,Kinchen,has no dates I can discover.Who then were the three females between 10-15?Daughters of Isham and Mary?Robert Reilford Phillips married Darkus Eldridge in 1835 in Twiggs GA. I do not think any of these girls were young wives of the sons.Isham's sister,Milberry,married Mark Faulk.The Faulks and the Phillips family left Twiggs Co.GA in a wagon train in 1844.They settled in Barbour Co.AL where they appear on the 1850 Census in the Faulk's District near Elamville.Thank-you for reading my query and good hunting to all
